Virtually impossible to get to speak to a GP now, never mind see one. No continuity of care, previously you would be able to book follow up appointment for after blood tests etc, now you have to wait for results and scramble on the day to get through like everyone else at 8am. My health concerns have been downplayed, I've been told I'll be examined when I wasn't, there are other instances where a nurse has agreed plan of action and this hasn't transpired. I now have great anxiety when I call for an assessment of my symptoms as I don't know if anything will happen or who I will get a callback from, no follow up appointment means I have to ring again to justify asking for GP appointment. This surgery used to deal with chronic illness quite well, since September 2022 every time I contact them I feel I have to start at the beginning again. I will be making a complaint and seriously considering changing surgery's, as I don't feel I'm getting the treatment I need and they don't seem to take into account some patients have anxiety, this making the whole process more distressing, especially if their issues are of a more intimate nature. |

Pos: gps, nurses and HCAs are very caring. The receptionists are usually ok but there is one woman and one man who are rude. CONS: since 2021 it was difficult to get an appointment. Now, since they introduced the same day only appointment system in sept 22 it is impossible. I ring up every day to be told no new appointments, try tomm. When I said I had been waiting a month ( the 2 weeks they had stopped taking appts before the switch and the 2 weeks post switch) they said we can make u a gp plus appt. I have a chronic issues that needs close management, when I have been to gp plus before they are all locums and they have 5 mins max to speak to you and they always tell me I should really go to my regular practice rather than them. The gp receptionist also said if it was urgent to go to the urgent care(nurse led) or ED…… I am astounded……. This is a complex chronic problem. ED will not deal with it. How do their elderly, disabled, thoses who need pre booked appointments to arrange transport, care etc…how do they manage with same day only appts. This will increase preventable deaths for their pts…all because they cant get an appointment……… |

This is an absolute shambles of a practice. Since joining the practice in 2020 not once was have I been seen by a doctor although I have asked for a consultation a number of times. Even for my medical leave I was sent to GP+ services. For a prescription for an underlying condition not even a medication prescription was offered to me. If you are fed up with their services and are outspoken they will hang up the phone while talking - it happened to me twice. AVOID THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS. |
