Disinterested admin staff giving out mixed messages Impossible to get through to practice by telephone as is never answered despite the Practice Manager stating that the phones are always being answered and are on loud to ensure Heard Was waiting 30 mins to collect a prescription add not here one fone ring!! I ordered a prescription yesterday and was told I could collect it today When I spoke to the same girl I spoke to yesterday , she said that they needed 48 hrs notice She also stated that I could try the chemist but said the gp had yet to sign the prescription therefore it was not available I decided to go and try my luck at the chemist ….. and there it was You couldn’t make it up Practce is at best shambolic

Staff have bad attitude and very unhelpful

I have been consistently disappointed by the attitudes and patient care demonstrated by the administrative staff at this medical center. The medical staff I have met - the doctors, nurses, and health visitors - have been mostly good: attentive, personable, and really seem to care. The administration staff, starting with the practice manager and going all the way down to the receptionists, are rude, uncaring, and unpleasant. My experience has been that when I am interacting with a medical practice, I am unwell, or concerned, or in a situation which has some stress attached to it. I have found that the staff on the phone (including a conversation with the practice manager, when she answered by chance), to be unable to listen, will speak over what you are saying, and infer either through words or tone of voice that you are wasting their time. Perhaps they need further training in patient/client conversation. Even the basics, such as a 'please hold' before they try to redirect your call would be an improvement.
