My father has been a client of Kensington Community Healthcare for some time now and is currently CHC (Continuing Health Care) funded.
I cannot fault the actual care staff who are all extremely friendly and caring. They also help to brighten up my mothers day (she is my father's primary carer).
The big problem with this company is the management who seem unable to manage anything.
My father, who is doubly incontinent, is scheduled to receive 4 visits with two carers per day.
Whilst these visits normally happen, my mother doesn't know from one day to the next who will be visiting and at what times.
During the recent snow storms she had numerous problems with Kensington which resulted in her sending them a formal complaint.
Despite her receiving a phone call to say that they would be sending her a letter in response this has yet to be received nearly three weeks later.
This is the second time she has had to send in a formal complaint - the same happened with the last one!
Kensington has a great Mission Statement and list of 'Our Values' listed on their web site. It's just a shame they don't live up to this! |
