After a short time in hospital my frail and vulnerable but determined and sound of mind 90 year old father was sent home to recuperate with the help of Eleadacare. I would like to make the NHS and anybody considering using this company aware of their indifferent and unprofessional approach to caring. * We never received the information pack from the office until the Physio requested it, two weeks into my dads care.* The carers were consistently late and always arrived for the night time visit half an hour early which disrupted my dads pain relief. We compromised with the night time visit but the carers still turned up early.* One of the two carers did not speak English so could not communicate with my dad when they turned up before the English speaking carer.* They regularly stayed just 15 minutes instead of half an hour* They didnt leave my dad a snack if he hadnt eaten at lunchtime so he had to wait four hours until the next visit.* They didnt call 111 when my dad had a nosebleed, they left my sister to deal with it.Sadly my dad passed away but I believe the care from Eleadacare during his final weeks could have been more comfortable and compassionate, what he received was a stark contrast to the wonderful support he had received from the NHS. |
