Nov 7 2022 Unfortunately, it seems the reablement service is not fit for purpose. My brief encounter with them was all very disappointing. They didnt do their job, which I believe was to assess if my Mum was coping in her own home (she isnt) and to provide assessment and care for my Mum for up to 6 weeks post discharge from hospital. Instead, they were very keen to stop their visits within one week of starting. They didnt communicate with me when they stopped, which they had promised to do. They also promised to feed back their findings to me and didnt. A complete waste of time in my opinion, sorry!
