The staff who work at Comfort Call deserve a medal. They must have to cope with a colossal amount of complaints, rather than the management / owners, from clients and their families who are frustrated with the lack of service they are paying for. My mother has been left for 8 hours today between toilet calls. Her 2pm dinner time call turned up at 7pm after many calls of complaint and 3 hours of being told they will get someone there ASAP. In the past she has been left for 16 hours in a urine soaked bed, as the night time call came early and the breakfast call came at 12 noon. Bearing in mind my mother has a history of severe pressure sores, this is unacceptable. I feel so sorry for the poor carers who have to come and face clients who are at the end of their tether with the company. I always make sure they know that my complaint is not with them, although I'm sure there are many who are not so understanding, but with the managers who do no have the required amount of staff to client ratio, causing people like my mother to suffer in a urine soaked environment! Reply from Comfort Call Tameside Thu, 02 Feb 2017 14:20:41 Z We were very sorry to read about your experience. We work very hard to ensure that the services we provide are up to the expected standard and aim to use any complaints as an opportunity to learn and improve. We would therefore invite you to make contact with our Regional Director, Wendy McCall (wendy.mccall@comfortcall.co.uk) so that we can discuss your concerns in more detail; we can assure you that your complaint will be taken very seriously. |

Very disorganised care company. Poor management. high turnover of carers. Carers given insufficient time to complete calls. Avoid!! Reply from Comfort Call Tameside Tue, 25 Aug 2015 09:22:40 +0100 We are very disappointed to hear that you were dissatisfied with the service you received from Comfort Call, especially as at our last CQC inspection, we were found to be compliant on all outcomes. We would invite you to contact the manager at the local office directly to discuss any particular concerns you might have and, failing that, to contact head office on 020 8795 6500. It is always our intention to provide the highest quality service and when we fall below that expectation, we try to do something about it. Thanks for your feedback. |
