Mother had care from this organisation. Lots of carers came and went throughout the months. She suffered lots of good care aswell as bad. On one occasion she fell in the presence of two carers. Managers were called but they did not seem concerned. Telephones calls to office were dealt with unprofessionally. Recently my mother passed away so will never have to use Skillcare ever again which is a blessing in disguise. I do not recommend them.

Avoid Skillcare at all costs. Your loved ones deserve better. They have been providing care for my father over last 8 months and all we have received is nothing but issues on a week to week basis. Punctuality is non existent carers never arrive on time. Upon phoning the office the same old story issues with public transport. They never call you to say they are running late and when carers arrive its usually 30 or even 40 minutes late. They have a handful of "good" carers the majority will not really give you a full care service in and out with a matter of minutes. The only thing they do pay attention to is filing out the paper work which in most cases put incorrect timing they will log 30 minutes but actually out in in less than 8-10 minutes. The Directors/management does not really consider needs, there are two directors search Skillcare on google and check companieshouse for names. Neither care they never resolve issues just give out excuses which seem they are on your side but in fact just make life difficult. On three occasions we requested to remove specific carers and they still arrive. When you raise the concern directors/management will not make changes. They seem to put any blame back on the family. It is a hard time for a our family trying to cope with an elderly father this organisation has just made our life hell. Please choose a better carer organisation this one certainly does not deserve a single penny. Seriously hope someone takes action as we are lost on what to do.
