Spire Bushey Hospital

I am currently recovering from a total knee replacement. The care I received from all the staff at Spire was simply outstanding. Both my consultant and anaesthetist were superb explaining everything and putting my mind at rest so that I went in to surgery feeling confident. The food was good and I felt very rested. The physio team were great and my recovery is going so well. Thank you to everyone at Spire Bushey.

I am 18 years old and visited Bushey Spire Hospital in the oral department regarding my jaw. I found the receptionist snappy and rude when I arrived. I was told to go to the 1st floor by the recpetiOn for which two lady’s greeted me at the top of the staircase. They questioned if I was at the correct hospital, and who I was seeing. I mentioned I forgot the surgeons name for which they made remarks and came across very intimidating. I sat down in the waiting room and got dirty looks from other patients. For which the staff then moved me back out of the waiting room and to the corridor seats. Regarding the consultant I saw, it was by far the worst consultation I have ever had. He felt my jaw once and said it was down to ‘society and stress of being a young man’ and that there was nothing he could offer. For the money he was being paid and the high expectations I had for a private hospital. I was very disappointed.

Operation the evening I was admitted and left the next morning. I can only say I was treated with the utmost care, attention and everyone was polite and kind. The en-suite room was clean and very pleasant and the food excellent. The staff, everyone from my consultant to the nurses, reception everyone I met made me feel relaxed and I will say I was treated with such care and respect and friendliness. Would most definitely recommend the Bushey Spire Hospital.
