The Clementine Churchill Hospital

I had a Colonoscopy at Clementine Churchill last week and have nothing but good to say about my experience. Whilst I have had Colonoscopies previously it is always a stressful time but every member of staff put me at ease and we’re nothing less than professional in their attitude. I would like to thank every member of staff that I dealt with for their assistance and kindness during my visit

Since 2015 I have had 3 major spinal operations and 3 steroid injection day cases at this hospital. Before this I have had multiple spinal operations in other hospitals including other private hospitals but I consider the Clementine Churchill the best so far. I find on whole the day nursing staff are kind and attentive, however I have found some night nurses (not the ward Sisters) to be uninformed of my conditions. I have a serious gluten allergy and the catering staff do try hard to look after me but I do often have to bring my own food in. However they look after my mum so well as she often had to stay with me during my long stays in on the wards. I have also twice been in the ICU and although I was rather drugged up so cant clearly remember everything, I do remember that I was very carefully looked after. Also my mother who is a retired nurse said how wonderful my care was in the ICU. I also have to say how lovely the porters are, especially one porter who has taken me down for at least 3 of my procedures now. Finally my spinal consultant is great and I really trust his opinion.

A trainee nurse unsupervised, removed IV drip incorrectly from my wrist causing large amount of blood loss, the trainee nurse ran out of the room in fear as she had no idea what to do. Possibly the worst private hospital in the UK. I have left many details out as nhs censors negative reviews
