Myself and my daughter were recently involved in a car accident. Paramedics and Police attended the scene, where we were taken to Yeovil Hospital. From the minute we arrived in A&E the Doctors and Nurses were amazing. My daughter is young, she was frightened, scared and worried about me but the nurses took very good care of her. They checked her over, checked injuries on her and cleaned them up. My daughter was offered lunch and the same nurse sat and spoke to her about the accident and what was wrong with me, and what would be happening to me next. The Nurses calmed my daughter down, cheered her up and soon had her laughing and joking with them. This was a huge relief to me, as I couldnt move to see my daughter, only hear what was going on around me. The care I had was very fast and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the team. I cant thank them all enough for helping me and my daughter like they did! Youre all a real credit to the department, and to the hospital. Thank you all so very much! |

I walked into the A&E department after having been referred by someone from 111 at 8pm. I saw the triage nurse after an hour and she told me to wait to see a Doctor. I find myself 4 hours later still waiting to be seen by anyone with countless people coming in and out. Finally gone 1am I am seen by a doctor who belittled me being there with a laugh and said she wasn’t sure why she was bothering to do anything as it would have been fine. After a very long time waiting having being told to by two healthcare professionals it is an utter shame to have had that treatment after a long evening. |

Every aspect of my care was first class. The consultant who carried out the procedure was excellent, talked me through everything and calmed my nerves. A sedation was not necessary, I got some pain killer instead that worked perfectly for me. There was nothing undignified or embarassing. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Many thanks to all of you. |
