The home is registered to care for 49 elderly people with nursing needs, including 38 with dementia. In some circumstances, the home can care for people under 65 years of age if the assessed needs of the individual can be met. 24 hour care is available from the home care team and registered nurses. This 2 storey purpose built home opened in 2007 and provides the highest standard of care in a first class environment. Accommodation is offered in 11 luxurious rooms in the Serena living area which accommodate residents with general nursing needs. The home has 38 rooms in 3 living areas providing truly outstanding accommodation for clients with nursing needs who have dementia. The home provides a progressive programme for elderly people living with confusional conditions. Carers support the existing capabilities of people with dementia by firmly placing the person before the illness to reaffirm their dignity and self esteem.
