Not a good experience. I have always gone to Specsavers for my glasses, but wow commercial road Portsmouth as now made me in the future never go again. Firstly my eye test… had to leave half way through as the waiting time was far too long and had to get back to work, as so did another customer prior to me. Then came back another day to choose my glasses… wasn’t given options on different lens cost.. given the most expensive breakdown and wasn’t offered a cheaper option. Third time went back to pop in to collect my glasses, presumably due to Specsavers rules had to stand outside in the rain, waiting for acknowledgement.. no member of staff came to the door, had to leave. Following day thought I’d try again, again 10 mins of waiting, still no acknowledgement. Woman behind me wasn’t happy and kicked the box from the door which received attention. A member of staff then came over and I mentioned is it necessary for people to still be standing outside October 2021 … she said yes and I said well I think your sign on the door should let people know more information as all it says is please wait here… now I appreciate it if Specsavers do still have this covid ruling in place, but surely a member of staff should be manning the door to let people know that they may have to wait… The Snotty member of staff give me an apology but in a way of sorry not sorry attitude!! When I have spent £349 of money I expect better service. |

Bought a replacement pair of glasses only to find I was struggling to focus. These should have been identical to the ones I was currently using as they where also from specsavers (different store) and only 9 month old.
It was like talking to a brick wall when trying to explain to the staff and one person even thought the whole lot rather amusing!! Poor service & attitude of staff... And issues with their lab. |

I went to have an eye test as advised by specsavers, they where friendly and welcoming. The eye test appeared to go well but they had no offers advertised in store and £125 for a decent pair of glasses was a bit much so I left with my prescription as was my right, I used glasses direct to buy some glasses, and when I received 2 pair as ordered I was happy, until i tried them on! the right eye was completely blurred on both pairs, I sent them back to glasses direct, to ensure they had given me the right prescription, in the meantime, I contacted specsavers and explained that I had ordered glasses offline and that both pairs had the same issues with right lense, the first question I was then asked was if I had bought them from specsavers website, when I explained I hadn't rather than suggesting I come in for them to ensure they where right, the one on the other end very sharply asked how I knew it was them that had been wrong then! Glasses direct have checked the lenses and confirmed that they are to the prescription I gave them which was the one I got from specsavers, they have changed the angle of the lense but this has not inproved my asbility to see by much at all. I wouldn't ever recommend specsavers with an attitude like that and hope others can learn from my mistake |
