I am surprised that Specsavers do not apparently have a renewal or re-booking facility. I think it was in August last year (2016) that I had eye testing and fitting of 3 new pairs of specs. based upon an annual re-test. I have heard nothing from Specsavers and to try to get through on the phone means an inordinate wait at my cost!
Is it not part of 'normal' service that an optician will remind a past customer of the need for new testing? |

Still waiting for my lensmail pack that should have arrived in April. Not the first time that I've had problems with this service. Not happy! Will be cancelling my order and would not recommend. |

I have been with Specsavers Tunbridge Wells for years for contact lenses and have always been completely satisfied with the service there. Recently, however, they really excelled themselves. I had a painful right eye and went to get it checked out. It was quick and easy to get an appointment. Everyone was polite and friendly. The optician told me that I had a scratch on my eye, probably from something getting under the lens. They recommended eye drops and arranged to see me the following day. They also gave me advice regarding wearing lenses for swimming, and ordered some daily lenses for me. Although they were fully booked the following day, they said to come and wait to see them between appointments, and I hardly had to wait at all. The optician arranged for me to come back in a couple of days for another check up, which I attended this morning. i was half an hour late because of heavy traffic, but again, I was seen straight away and given excellent, clear advice.
I have been bowled over by how friendly, polite and efficient everyone has been, and how my eye health seemed to be everyone's absolute priority. The advice I was given has really informed me about how to look after my eyes in future. Even at extremely busy times, the staff have behaved in an exemplary manner - if I had filmed my visits, you could have used them for a training video! All this service was included as part of my monthly direct debit payment for contact lenses. |
