I was offered a free contact lens trial which i agreed to.
I arrived for my appointment. I waited 40 minutes before entering the clinicians room and being told we have only have 10 minutes before the next appointment... because i was 'double booked'.
I was promised an appointment the following Friday. When booking, appointment was not available.
I booked another appointment a week later, pushing back my return date to university to accommodate the poor customer service given to me.
I arrived for my appointment only to be told to sit in the corner of the clinicians room and put the contact lenses in on my own - with only a few moments of training a week before.
Turns out they booked me into the wrong appointment. As a result, i spent over 40 minutes being juggled from room to room, only to be sent home WITHOUT my contact lenses and more wasted time.
They comforted my distress by informing me they will send the lenses to my closest Boots to Uni.
OVER 1 MONTH later, i still await the arrival of the lenses. Repeated attempts of calling them, only to listen to endless minutes of beeping, waiting for the call to be answered.
- Sent away from 2 appointments
- Never received contact lenses
- Poor customer problem resolution skills.

I phoned boots to arrange an appointment to buy contact lenses from your store in Dunfermline-kingsgate. The staff member booked me for an eye test & I discovered this by coincidence when I phoned to change my appointment time. When I arrived to my appointment the staff explains to me that I will get an assessment & a free trial. I explained clearly that it's not my first time to wear contact lenses & I just want to buy them. However the staff insisted to give me a free trial which wasn't in the store! Next day, someone contacted me to inform me that the free trial pair arrived in store. When I asked if I can come & pick the up & purchase my monthely supply they informed me that they can't do this till arranging another appointment for fitting!
I went to the store as per the arranged appointment 26th May 2015 12:45pm. I arrived at 1:05pm only to ask again if I can buy them. However the person in charge wasn't very helpful or even welcoming. I felt rather disrespected & discriminated. I left the store to preserve my dignity.
I don't understand why it is so difficult and complicated to provide the costumer with what they need. I went after to my local optician store and the provided me imidiatly with a full assessment, a trial pair and I ordered with them 3 months supply which will collect them on Thursday.
Finally, I have to say after the service I had with my local optician, the assessment I had with boots was nothing more than filling an application to cover any liability or responsibility off boots.
You have wasted my time, my money & treated me with disrespect. This is not my first bad experience with boots optician and I will make sure to spread it out as wide as possible this time. |

On Saturday 19th August i spoke to so awful lady Nadia at no 7 . Worst customer service ever from Nadia. She is very rude and aggressive and has no customer care skills. Boots needs to train her with customer service skills. Very disappointed |
