Sent my wife's damaged hearing aid to Scrivens by special messenger on the 13th of August 2019. It was accepted by the Scrivens business the following day. On 20th of August I talked to someone in Scrivens via the telephone and was assured that a new aid had been reprogrammed and was on its way to us by post. Today, 27th August 2019 a Scrivens agent told me, by telephone, that there was a problem with programming the hearing aid. No return date could be given. I was born in 1930, my wife was born in 1941. Problems of strength and mobility make our lives difficult and this extra problem of communication is making things harder. If a firm cannot offer a reasonably speedy service then, one wonders why the NHS allows them to undertake the work?
