The resident optometrist- the most aggressive and rudest person I have ever had the misfortune to meet in business. I was told by a a member of staff who works with them that a consultation for contact lenses would not cost me anything. I made an appointment for 5pm travelling from work in West London. I didn't have to but out of common courtesy I called in to say I might be five minutes late. They shouted rudely " we close at 5:30" and hung up. When I arrived (on time) they told me i would have to pay £40 for an eye test first. I told them that I hadn't been told this initially and they literally went crazy telling me to "get lost" and how I expected everything for free and they "didn't need my money". OMG I was in shock. I said I couldn't believe what I was witnessing and kept asking for them to calm down but they continued shouting up in my face and waving their arms around to get me out. I remained calm. I said they were behaving very unprofessionally and had anger management issues to which they replied "oh have I" ...ridiculing me. The member of staff working with them admitted they had told me the appointment was free and finally after they had given me a fake number to make a complaint to I ran out very very upset at the verbal abuse and attack I had been subject to because they had given me the wrong information. I rang another Aves and was told they are independent and not a chain. They displayed disgraceful inexcusable behaviour. If they can do that to me how do they treat those who are more vulnerable. They should be closed down |
