I called ASDA Stowmarket last week to book an eye test. The lady I spoke to said they hadn't got any free appointments for a couple of weeks but helpfully offered to check on the system whether their next nearest branch at Ipswich had any cancellations! They did and so she booked me in and I went along today. During the visit I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff who were polite, very helpful and not at all 'pushy'. The eye examination was thorough and methodical with some wholly sensible, helpful advice given by the optometrist. Following the test I was actually asked by the dispensing optician if I would like to choose glassed today or come back another time having thought about it! This immediately put me at easy - a stark contrast to my experience at a Specsavers last year. The chap was patient and helpful with choice of frames etc and even advised that I would not need to pay for the eye test since, even though it was less than two years ago, because my prescription had changed. All-in-all a very pleasant experience.

I have just pick up my new glasses from Asda Chandlers Ford, and I am delighted with them. My prescription is +7.50 and +8 with varifocul and these are the thinnest glasses I have ever had. The service was excellent, and the value for money is so much better than the High St opticians I have dealt with in the past. I highly recommend them and tell friends They should have gone to Asda!
