I don't usually do reviews but feel I must on this occasion. I have worn glasses since I was a child and in the last several years had to wear verifocal lenses. I have a small face and having had eyes tested elsewhere over 16 months ago was unable to find any frames that fitted or suited my petite face. The fashion is for large frames, so I was told, I'd just have to go with them - even though they looked terrible and caught my cheeks. My previous pair were so heavy they hurt my nose through daily wear. I was eager to find comfort without sacrificing a good look. I tried other opticians and was quoted £560 + and just found that extortionate and the glasses weren't that great either! I visited many other opticians, some being more helpful than others. I saw a sign at Asda saying new selection of designer frames so decided to browse there as I had done do in many other opticians. I have never encountered a single advisor who has been more helpful - fortunately they understood my plight being petite themself and took me through the selection of frames they had and would recommend to me. I was spoiled for choice. I booked an eye test for the following day and it's the best eye test I've ever had, I then went on to try to select the correct frames for both everyday and sunglasses and after opinions and assistance from several members of staff I came to my decision. I collected them today and am astonished at the continued excellent customer service and the quality of both pairs of specs. I couldn't be happier with my new look and will be heading back to select chosen frames in another colour. All staff there are so helpful, knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. Highly recommended. |

I am a 62 year old male and have worn glasses since the age of 5. I have been to all of the major opticians and have had many and varied problems and paid extortionate amounts for glasses. Two years ago when I saw that Asda were about to sell glasses at a very low cost I was to say the least a little scepticle. However I went along and got two pairs or varicfocal glasses, one with transition lenses for £139 the first time my HSA had covered the entire cost. I have therefore just gone back for my two year eye test and have again got two pairs of great frames with ultra thin varifocal lenses one as sunglasses and one clear for £119!!!! I went along on Monday and picked up my glasses today (Saturday)! Great customer service, unvelieveable price and quality so 5 stars all round!! |
