I visited my pharmacist today for my prescription and spoke to her about intermittent eye pain in right eye. She suggested l ask my optician to take a look. May be dirt in eye or eye strain. I only wear glasses for reading. Not worn for driving. I started phoning the Tesco branch in Durham just before 4 pm. I eventually spoke to head office of the opticians. He tried without success to put me through.they would not answer. I eventually phoned Tesco at Dragonville. I explained to the girl and she got her manager to run to the opticians and get them to answer me. How good of them. The person who answered ., when l explained advised me to drive ( in the dark,) to The Eye Infirmary at Sunderland and said no optician would look at me. Previous opticians have checked in the past.Having read all this company aspires to l find this appalling care. The person who spoke gave her opinion of eye care which was out of her grasp. From one who has nursed patients with eye problems. I am furious that l spent £90 less than a year ago. Clearly the employee is only interested in sales. When l asked why they did not answer the phone was told a manager told them to ignore it if they had customers , Very unhappy that after 2 hours l was treated so unkindly. |

Hi, my wife and I bought glasses from this store spending over £400. My wife went back to this store several times after getting servere headaches with no joy, the glasses are now in a drawer not been used. I bought a pair of glasses and the arms kept going slack. After taking them back twice they were repaired. The third time all they said was they couldn’t be repaired any more. So I asked what they could do. All I was told from a very rude member of the staff was if you get a tyre on your car can you take the tyre back and said that’s all they could do which was nothing I wouldn’t recommend using this store. |

I am now that upset and angry with the service provided by the Opticians I could cry. it has been 8 months since I was sold my first pair of glasses and I am still without them. I first purchased a Michael Kors pair in October 2015 on collection there was a lump in the frame so a new frame was ordered, earlier this year the arm fell off this 2nd pair. They had discontinued my frame so I went for the same style but a different colour, after a week the frames bowed so I took them back, another frame was ordered and again on collection they were bowed. I was then allowed to order a different style (at my extra cost) on collection last week the nose area was scratched so a 6th frame was order and today on collection then getting home I find that the coating on one of the lenses appears to have cracked so I can see a spiders web effect through my left eye.
From this you can appreciate why I am upset and angry. I am going to log a formal complaint and if I am not satisfied I will take this to other bodies for investigation. While the store has been friendly the service has been extremely poor and the quality of the glasses awful. I have been a contact lens customer for years and a grocery customer for as long as I can remember but after this I will not be shopping there again and will recommend others not to use their service. |
