Have been a customer for a few years now. The staff are excellent and nothing seems to be too much trouble.
The last eye test I had, was not in any way hurried, and I was made to feel relaxed. Choosing my glasses, again, was not a hurried experience, and the member of staff was extremely helpful.
The big high street stores could learn a thing or two from the after sales service I received at east quay vision. (including free cleaning, and servicing of your glasses) |

I had an eye problem that hadn't been picked up by my previous opticians that was quite serious. It was the most thourough eye examination I have ever had. Would highly recommend. |

I’ve been going to East Quay Vision for quite a few years now. Friendly staff, thorough and well explained eye examinations. This year (2022) I felt was the time to try Varifocals. I thought though that this year I would test another optician’s glasses using my EQV prescription. Maybe I could save a few quid. I went to Specsavers, picked out my frames and got my glasses made. They were awful, the worst I’ve ever had! The width of reading vision was no more than two words in sharp focus so I had to turn my head excessively just to read a line of text! I got my money back and decided to go back to EQV and get them done there. Now it did cost me nearly double Specsavers, but now I have quadruple the sharp focus width of vision when reading. I got the X Series Essilor lenses. Bear in mind that with both SS and EQV I went for the top of the line glasses. With the SS ones I felt like I had tunnel vision when reading, it was awful! I was able to use my own frames at EQV, and although varifocals will never be as good as single vision glasses, these are great. I also liked that EQV took a few minutes to make sure they fitted well and the vision was good. With SS, they just handed me the glasses and that was that. This was definitely a case of “you get what you pay for” and I value these more now after trying the cheaper competition. |
