I called this shop this morning and booked collection of non prescription ray-ban Wayfarer prior to 5.30pm. I arrived around 4.30pm and was kept waiting in the doorway to view two pairs glasses. I asked if I could exchange if the don't fit and each question I asked the girl had to go check with another team member before answering. I had to ask how I could pay for them and they advised me to step back into the shopping centre and clear the doorway to allow another customer into the shop. I have never been asked to pay and enter confidential details into a machine in a public place where camera's are recording. Next I decided to vote with my pocket and advised the shop I wished the managers details. This woman came forward who had witnessed it all and advised she was the manager. I further advised I wanted her managers details. No name was given at any point. I've never been treated to a shopping experience like this. I felt ashamed to be looking to make a purchase. There were 3 staff members doing very little with no customers prior to my arrival. I can only thank my lucky stars I don't hold the franchise and employ people with no ability to; A. Keep customers happy. B. Make your customer welcome and feel like they would like to return. C. Be friendly, after all I was looking to spend over £130/ to be left feeling hurt. Furthermore staff were not wearing masks. I shall make my complaint known to Boots division regarding reputation of Boots trading name on franchise poor management. A very unhappy lost customer.
