We regularly visit this pharmacy and the waiting time to deposit the prescription and have it made up is outrageously long, up to an hour and twenty minutes! Surely they can do better than this! They will be under contract to provide the service so the NHS contract manager is at fault for not making sure Lloyds meet their key performance indicators. Shame on you Lloyds for providing such a poor service to people who are ill.

I was given an outpatient prescription to take to the MRI hospital pharmacy run by Lloyds. I had to wait 20 minutes for two patients in front of me to be served. I had to answer a barrage of questions despite all the answers required being on the presption form I handed over. It was like an interrogation. I was then passed onto a pharmacist who refused to dispense my medicine and on a minor technical point they could have easily resolved with a quick phone call. They sent me all the way back to my outpatient clinic which had meanwhile closed. Had I been successful in submitting my script the wating time to have it dispensed was over half an hour. In the end I elected to have my medication dispensed locally with far less stress. This pharmacy is operates in stark contrast to the one at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital which is run in house by the NHS and where quiet effiency is the order of the day and medicines are dispensed both courteously and professionally.
