My daughter is going abroad to French Guiana for 8 months to work in a school. She's had all the required vaccinations and health checks, and was advised by the travel clinic nurse at our surgery to go to the Asda pharmacy to get the Malaria tablets she will need if she travels into a mosquito infested area. On arriving this afternoon( we drove over from Bath) we were immediately confronted at the pharmacy by a grumpy person who asked us what we wanted. When my daughter explained that she would like Malaria tablets, they snapped that we had to have an appointment, and that she needed to show specific dates and times for visiting Mosquito areas. They wasn't interested in trying to help us at all, he was very very rude and dismissive and generally pretty obnoxious. This was not the sort of service that we were expecting at all, and after trying to explain about the advice she had already been given, we left, feeling upset and frustrated. This 'pharmacist' ( they didn't introduce themselves so we don't know who or what their title was,) should have some basic customer liaison training. I wouldn't recommend this pharmacy at all, and think that the customer service needs huge improvement.... we will go elsewhere in future.

My son takes medication for AdHD just been to collect a prescription and the black guy put my son through the 3rd degree wanted to know how long he had been taking the medication How did it make him feel why was he collecting the medication from Asda not our own pharmacy that had nothing to him
