Absolutely disgraceful service, two visits to collect and still not ready, told to wait 30 mins again, Tesco please sort your lack of staff and give them better people skills training

Visited the store for a repeat prescription of blood testing strips- important as I am pregnant. On the Monday I was told they were out of stock and had reordered, so would be in on Tuesday. Went back on Tuesday to be told supplier was having issues and would be about a week until new batch was in. I was advised to go back to my gp to get a prescription so I could find a different chemist. Went to the doctors on Wednesday, they phoned Tesco about the supply issue, and they were told that supply was fine, it's just that they hadn't ordered it in yet, so they would now. So this proved that the pharmacy had lied to me. Throughout all this, I was unable to keep track of my blood sugar so my baby was at risk but the pharmacy seemed unconcerned with this, even when my concerns were raised. My Doctors recommended changing pharmacy because it has been completely unprofessional, by not reordering stocks of items that many need and is so important, and by lying to customers, and I agree. Although the hours are helpful, the customer service and respect is lacking, and you could be putting yourself in danger by relying on this service at this Tesco pharmacy (pitsea).
