We've made it our mission to take the hassle out of prescriptions. To do this, we're changing how we work so that we can give you more choice in how you get your medicines.

Our pharmacies

We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.

As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

the well pharmacy in alsager next to asda, I have in the past taken my prescriptions in person down to the pharmacy when the doctor prescribes medication is dispensed and I begin my treatment on that day. .........................................Recently they have installed a new system where the prescription is transmitted from the doctors to the pharmacy central hub , and then dispensed and returned to the pharmacy where I would collect. this process is taking 4 days.... needless to say I will not use this service again. If I need medication I need it on the day the doctor prescribes it and not 4 days later at best.

Hello, Thank you for message and I apologise for the poor service you received from our Alsager Health Centre branch. We take your feedback seriously and the Regional Manager, who is responsible for pharmacies in this area has been informed. It is disappointing to hear that the new system is not suited to the time you require your prescription. Please note that you can opt out of both systems, you can remove your nomination from any pharmacy so that they are not issued electronically, you can also ask for your prescriptions to be dispensed at the pharmacy and not sent off centrally. This system is to help reduce the work load of regular monthly repeat prescriptions for patients who order in advance. We understand this is not suitable for everybody, which is why this is not compulsory. Please accept my apologies one more and thank you again for contacting us.
