My elderly mother's prescription was due to be delivered on Thursday but didn't arrive. She called on Friday to ask where it was and was told the driver hadn't enough time. She was asked if she wanted to go collect her medication herself but she is not physically able to do so. She then asked if her daughter (me) could collect it on Saturday lunch time and the chap she spoke to said yes. I have travelled from Sheffield to collect the medication for my mum and arrived at 11.58 to find the chemist closed. I see on the website it doesn't even open on Saturdays so why tell my mum I could collect it.? This is the second time I've driven from Sheffield to pick up medication from this branch and been badly let down. Simply not good enough, poor service. ( The script had been passed over by the Gp which the chap confirmed to my mother.)
