Waiting to collect a prescription is terrible waiting for nearly 1 hour each time I go to collect my prescription. They have notices up to “warn you about abuse” Not that there is any excuse for abuse ever! No. But quite honestly they don’t understand that the majority of people in the queue are already stressed and unwell. It is know wander the public loose their tempers when they eventually get to the counter to be told there prescription is not in the system. Years ago prescriptions were always a bit of a wait. But if you so much as voice your complaint about the poor customers service you are deemed “abusive’. Boots also close for lunch.. not saying they should not have a lunch but surely Boots can sort their act out??

Since about November 22 it's been unbearable in here. I have a weekly prescription which has to be collected on a specidic day, and I've been queuing anywhere between 45 mins - 2+ hours. Knowing the meds are there. I was almost once turned away at 1730 after having been in the queue for 1 hr 15mins. I told them I needed meds that day and said what it was for. They can't just turn people away. Why do they now close at 6? No wonder it's so busy. Most people can't get there before 6 so have to turn up last min! It's mental at the weekends. They just let the queue build up, serve one person then wander off for 15mins. . I feel really bad for the staff. They're under so much pressure and nobody is helping them. I have moved pharmacy and omg it's so much better!!. I complained via resolver since Jan 23 and have had no reply. I will be calling. They need more staff / back to increase in opening times and a new system for serving. It really is awful. Some people are queuing for 90 mins just to be told they don't have the medication. It's not good enough, it really isn't. I was having to leave work early and cancel exercises classes purely ti queue for my weekly prescription. Not ok. Go elsewhere for your own sanity q

Took a prescription from the dentist for my child, first they would not except it as the dentist did not stamp it so then drove back to dentist for the stamp then drove back to boots pharmacy in emersons green and they still would not give my daughter her medicine as there was not an NHS number on prescription I then took prescription to loyds, they were unfortunately out of stock but they confirmed nhs number on prescription was not necessary I then rang longwell green boots to check if it was in stock and if nhs number on prescription was going to be a problem and they thankfully had some in stock and once again the nhs number was not a problem so why did emersons green boots give me the stress of not giving me my daughters medicine because of no nhs number when long well green boots was happy to give to me? Caused me alot of driving around and stress for no reason. Also meant my daughter couldn't lt start her course of antibiotics today as took all day to finally receive the medication.
