I had booked through my boots app an appointment to see a pharmacist regarding malaria tablets, as I'm about to go on holiday. The booking was confirmed for 5 June at 12:30 at the Grafton. Having paid £7.05 in a taxi fare to get there, only to be told that the pharmacist was off sick, no phone call to let me know NO NOTHING. The people there were so unhelpful, didn't give a shit and told me to go to the one in town, offered not other help and just told me to book another appointment. Hence now I'm using a travel clinic. I'd like my £7.05 credited to my boots card for the lack of service and inconvenience and I'm going to ring the travel clinic where I should of gone in the place, rubbish all round really

Wow, I did not think that going to a chemist could be so difficult! I have MS which puts me in a wheelchair ans have recently slipped a disc which is very painful. Stupidly when I got a prescription for oramorph I decided to take it to the Central Boots. I know that putting the pharmacy on the top floor might give more selling space for make up and lunch items but one must question whether anyone ever thought about less mobile users! Anyway when I took the script in last week they only had one out of three bottles of oramorph. I took the slip to pick up the rest and duly got a phone call the following day to say that it was in and ready for collection. When I went in to pick it up today the lift was out of order so I could not get upstairs to the pharmacy. There were no notices near the front or by the lift to say what you should do if you physically could not get upstairs. A no brainier I would have thought. Luckily I had a friend with me who had a chest infection. She also had her 3 year old twins who also had heavy colds/chest infections with her. I gave her the chit to go up and pick up my prescription with theirs. She carried one twin up with her while I looked after the other. After 40 mins she came down to say that they could not find my prescription. They wanted to know if I had another name! No I don't. We waited another 20 mins before being asked to go away and come back after 45 mins. We went away for an hour and returned but they had got no further. They said their script said I had already collected the mess which is not tru. They seemed not to believe me but my family is the only one with our name in Cambridge and so it is unlikely that they could have given it to anyone else in error and my 2 children had not picked it up. After 3 hours they said they would contact my doctor and phone me and drop it in. I went home and received no phone call and no meds. This is without doubt the worst service I have ever had from a pharmacy. Pick think Boots is not interested in patients only in selling toiletries etc.
