Since the take over of the new pharmacist in December the team at hobbs have been nothing but perfect. I am always met with a warm smile from the three other ladies who work in the pharmacy. I never feel rushed they always listen to my questions & concerns. The team of ladies are just fantastic and would like to thank them for their service. |

The pharmacist at Hobbs chemist has been very helpful in suggesting remedies for my various complaints and my repeat prescription is always ready for collection. The staff are also extremely helpful and polite. |

As a customer of this Hobbs for 11 years I have found them to be very helpful most times. But not today! I am on life long medication. This medication must be taken every day at the same time each day with no food for at least 1/2 hour. GP has recently upped the dosage by 25 micrograms, so I take two tablets each morning. I could not get to the pharmacy before today. With only 2 doses remaining and an ongoing prescription for the original dosage at Hobbs Tonbridge, I made sure to collect today. Before doing so I went to the GP office just to ensure that they had processed the prescription for the additional 25 mg because last month they missed. When I asked the Hobbs staff member for the repeat of the total prescription, they had to speak with the pharmacist. A new pharmacist emerged from behind the counter. They chose to speak loudly in a very condescending tone with several customers stood near. Among other things, they told me "the prescription will be sent electronically today, right now you only have 50mg" They refused to provide me with requested two pills in advance stating " this is not life threatening" I asked if they understood the consequences of missing the full dosage. They stated "yes, but it is not life threatening and I am making the judgement " I accepted the pack with 50mg tablets and walked out of Hobbs Tonbridge in tears feeling let down, stressed out and worried. I phoned the GP staff and explained what happened . They assured me that the prescription would be with Hobbs within an hour or two as the GP was busy. They agreed that it would have been quite reasonable for a pharmacist to offer a few days worth under the circumstances where I could not hang about for two hours or manage to collect later or the following day. I went back to Hobbs to persuade a reasonable response. The pharmacist was quite combative despite my further explaining that their attitude is causing undue stress or further explaining that not taking the proper dosage will cause me to feel unwell. Disgraceful unreasonable behaviour. If this is our new permanent pharmacist, I shall take my custom elsewhere. |
