My experience with mortimer pharmacy has been very disappointing and upsetting. The way I have been spoken to today was unexpectable. I have been shouted at, interrupted, it was just so rude. I had to ask the pharmacist to calm down and let me finish what I was trying to explain calmly. There was no help or consideration or alternative for the problem that I was raising, I was just told I was wrong and shut down. I was feeling very ill at the time and was actually throwing up in between calls and I was made to feel like I had inconvenienced their day. I am very prone to Tonsilitis and knew it had come back again as I had all the same symptoms and in actual fact I was told if I got it again I might need to look at having my tonsils out. So I rang my GP who said that I could get some antibiotics today as Mortimer Pharmacy didn’t close until 10pm! I thought it was brilliant! I tried to ring in the afternoon to see if my prescription was there but I couldn't get through. The phone just rang and rang so I rang my GP and asked if it was ready. They confirmed on their system it was with the barcode and the time it had been processed. I can't drive and my fiance's car had broken down so I asked my friend who doesn't live far but took time off work to pick it up for me as I was feeling very unwell. When she got there she was told the prescription wasn't there. So after all that I didn't get the antibiotics I needed that day which was the whole point. I wanted to get it cleared as soon as possible because I'm self employed and I can't afford to miss more work. The next morning I was feeling even worse than I did the day before, so I rang the GP and said the pharmacy hasn't got it. They confirmed on their system that they did and gave me a time it had been processed and the bar code. So off I went back to Mortimer and tried to explain what was going on but I was rudely interrupted and spoken to very unprofessionally making out it was my fault and I had been inconveniencing them. They said they haven't got it and they gave me no alternative. At this point I was actually sick in between calls feeling really unwell. I rang the GP back to see if I could cancel the prescription and if the doctor could do another one and send it to Burghfield pharmacy but when the receptionist tried Mortimer were rejecting the cancellation? So I am still without any antibiotics, lost two days of paid work when if I would have got the antibiotics the day before I probably could have powered through today instead I am upset, feeling really unwell and I have been spoken to so poorly. Whole communication with GP and Pharmacy is a shambles and they seem to be really unprofessional about each other. I will be going much higher with my complaint and hopefully getting some compensation for losing 2 days paid work due to poor communication and pure rudeness with no caring nature at all. |

Great support from the staff.
The Pharmacist who advised me was massively helpful and very knowledgeable. I was given medication that I needed and he gave me the correct guidance for taking the medication.
A great feeling knowing such professional staff are there if you are in need, 7 days a week.
Highly recommended Pharmacy |

I visited the pharmacy on Saturday and was served by a member of staff who was an excellent ambassador for the pharmacy. He listened to my symptoms carefully which was a recurring skin problem and was able to recommend an appropriate treatment which has already made a significant difference. He had excellent customer service skills and had fantastic product knowledge. |
