I come in to the store once a month to collect my regular Prescription with my two-year-old daughter. On the counter sits a colourful display stand of added sugar chupa chups sweets. The counter is eye level to my daughter so of course she notices it and instantly and wants one every time. I don’t allow her to have one and this always ends in crying tantrums! Something that could totally be avoided if they weren’t there. There are of course some parents that wouldn’t be so strict. When I mention this issue to the staff they just laugh it off and don’t understand where I am coming from. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has this concern. I don’t understand how this is allowed to be placed there especially in a pharmacy of all places. Aren’t we as a country trying to stop adult and in particular childhood obesity , diabetes and tooth decay? I think this stand would be better suited somewhere else in the shop away from children’s eye level on the counter top and would like to see this moved or at best removed all together from the shop.
