They are a fantastic pharmacy with a small team. I moved here recently and ended up being in use of a permanent urinary catheter as a young person and they've been really wonderful with ensuring the specialist equipment is ordered discreetly and on time. Any medication issues I've had have been addressed quickly and their communication is fantastic. They are very patient with patients that have additional support needs. They're a gem of a pharmacy and definitely the best I've had in over a decade. I cannot recommend them enough. |

I have been a client with Vauxhall street pharmacy for over 5 years. Initially it was agreed the my prescriptions would be delivered, however that caused numerous problems, I became so frustrated by their failure that I finally arranged to pick them up after the pharmacist called me to advise that they were ready. That agreement did not work and I have had to call and remind the pharmacist that my prescription was due I have been with the same surgery for over 20 years and I have had the same prescription every month for a considerable time. I suffer from chronic depression, kidney problems, calcified blood vessels and severe COPD and other issues
I receive the same prescription every month consisting of about 12 items
The last several years the prescriptions have not always been complete and I have to return a few days later to obtain the missing items. and some months I miss some particular items completely. The lack of some items has a very adverse effect on my health and causes me to become ill.
Recently during a holiday weekend I ran out of my medication completely with the result that I spent the whole weekend in bed as I had not been able to take my medication. On the Tuesday after the holiday weekend I called the pharmacist to inquire about my medication being ready I was advised that it had been sitting on the shelve for the previous week, the pharmacist remonstrated that it was my fault as I had not called him This caused me considerable distress, however I managed to go to the pharmacy on the Tuesday to obtain my prescription I was incredulous when the pharmacist advised me that several items were missing and to come back in a few days for the balance of my prescription
All of my prescriptions have a warning to advise the patient “do not stop taking your medication without your doctors advice as it may have considerable adverse health effects” I pointed this out to the pharmacist that I had already spent the long weekend in bed due to the absence of my prescription and now I would have continue without some of my medication and I questioned why, if my prescription had been sitting on the shelve for a week that it was it still incomplete.
The pharmacist became very defensive and told me he had 500 patients and that these things happen. I believe that the absence of my medication and the fact that I would have to continue without some of my medication for a some more days caused me to not be so amiable as I normally am. I retorted that his system was computerized so it should not be difficult for him to fill a regular prescription and that in addition to the inconvenience caused it was also dangerous for me to go so long without my prescription and that I was already suffering from the lack of my medicine for the last several days as a consequence of the failure to properly fill my prescription I told the pharmacist that I would transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy. |
