As I am on numerous medications I always have my prescription sent EPS to my usual pharmacy however I was ill in bed and had a doctor out who gave me a written prescription. As Rowlands at Riverside was the nearest pharmacy my son took it there. My next repeat prescription did not arrive at my usual pharmacy and I was informed that it had been sent to Rowlands. I called in for my prescription on Friday and was informed that my prescription always goes to Rowlands. I tried to explain that this was not the case but another member of staff came forward and in a very unpleasant manner said 'If you are disputing it we had best take it back'. I was left without medication and very upset. I had tried to explain that my medication is not ordered by me but my usual pharmacist and I always collect at the end of the month even though the prescription was dated 7/2/17. I left and telephoned my doctors surgery who were appalled and said that I should go straight back and demand my prescription and if any problem ring them. I was too upset so asked my sister to go. My sister stated that she had spoken with GP and had come to collect my prescription. The assistant merely stood and looked at her for a few minutes and my sister repeated I have come to collect my prescription to which the reply was 'We have put it back on the shelf now so it will take some time. My sister agreed to wait and after some considerable time the pharmacist brought it out. The pharmacist said to my sister that they understood I was upset and that when you are ill it is difficult to control your reactions but be assured that although very angry and upset I did not raise my voice until the medication was taken away and then I merely left and said that if I am ill it will be on your head. The staff in fact were the people who were rude. The original member of staff I spoke with just kept saying you always get it here and the other member of staff who came and took the medication away really needs some training in customer service. I would do without medication before I enter this pharmacy again. | ||||||

The pharmacy is a great little place , the pharmacist and the staff are excellent , so friendly and go out of their way to help , visiting there is an enjoyable experience | ||||||

The Pharmacists and staff here appear to be hard working, courteous, professional and non-judgemental
I moved into this area over a year ago from a place with endless delays, constant inefficiency and not a smile in sight. They even apologise at this pharmacy for keeping you waiting!!
If you give a smile then you will even usually get one back too.
