Having sent in my repeat prescription by post in plenty of time My prescription was not delivered as usual. I telephoned the pharmacy to be told they had not got it and to ring doctors it was their fault it for not passing it on. Several days later phoned to make enquiry as to when it would be ready as I was almost out of pills they had only just received it and it would take time to,process 2 days later rang again, to be told still being processed and may not be ready until after Christmas. The prescription by this time was 10 days overdue At the end of my tether I said I would collect it myself the next day whatever. it was ready, minus one item. The assistant once again was not interested Previously my repeat prescription and delivery service has been excellent However my last experience has been very stressful with many phone calls with the same totally unpleasant and unhelpful assistant determined to make the whole process difficult What has happened to this previously excellent pharmacy | ||||||

This chemist is the one we choose to visit when we can. The staff are always welcoming and although they seem to always be under a lot of pressure they manage to get the prescription right every time. I do have to sometimes wait if the chemist is with another customer in their room or when it is during busy periods but I can't fault their professionalism. They have a good network with the doctors next door and can usually phone through requests If there is ever an issue with my prescription. I really fail to understand why the previous reviews are so bad given that the other local chemists are the ones that never open on time and never have an approachable and visible chemist to hand. I order my wife's regular prescriptions on line well in advance and they are rarely ready to collect, and when I go in for them I generally have to wait 20 minutes in the queue for the pharmacist to check it of. On three occasions I have been told to come back later as the pharmacist is on their break, and on return I am told the item is not in stock so come back tomorrow! During one extended wait I saw a lady ask for her prescription, only to be sent back to the surgery as it wasn't there. When she returned 10 minutes or so later they magically found it.
I collect some proscriptions from another Chemist for someone else and they are always ready, so this one needs some serious reorganisation. | ||||||
