I am writing to complain about the pharmacy now being closed on a Saturday! Who made this decision? My daughter is type 1 diabetic and depends on her medication. During last week she ordered more needles for her EpiPen. We intended to collect them on the Saturday morning from Blythe Bridge pharmacy. Upon arriving there on Saturday, we discovered the pharmacy to be closed. This was very distressing for my daughter who had to re-use some of the needles she had, which is not he most hygienic option when you have to inject insulin 6 times a day! Therefore my wife ended up going in on the following Monday to collect the needles, only to be told that the particular size of needle my daughter needed were not available. My wife demanded some other size needles before leaving the pharmacy. Please understand, I am not complaining about the staff or the pharmacy itself but this Saturday closing issue is a major concern for those customers who work Monday to Friday and there only chance to collect prescriptions is on a Saturday! If this is permanent, then my family will now arrange for our prescriptions to be sent elsewhere. Please respond as to why this decision of closing has suddenly been made? |

i can' t praise enough the professionalism, caring attitude and efficiency of the staff at Blythe Bridge Pharmacy yesterday. My elderly mother was getting very confused with collecting her tablets and administering them, not helped by her usual pharmacy mislaying her prescription and not accommodating our request for blister packs. The staff at Blythe Bridge showed great kindness. They located her missing prescription and in a few hours a months supply of tablets in blister packs were ready to collect, with future tablets to be automatically delivered. Elderly patients with confusion have such difficulties in their everyday lives and we were both very grateful for their care and efficiency. Will certainly recommend this pharmacy for their excellent service. Many thanks Judy Shapley |
