This pharmacy is superb. The staff in medication and in additional stock are outstanding. I have, after almost sixty years of requiring many repeated dosages of various remedies, found only one to match it in excellence - Poole in Dorset. Praise indeed and truly well deserved. It really is an exceptionally helpful Pharmacy despite the steps to enter. | ||||||

This small but well stocked chemist has really helpful staff, that go out of their way to help you in a dedicated, calm and professional manner.
I recommend supporting them above larger high street chemist shops, for both prescriptions and other chemist needs. They also stock lovely toiletries gift shopping.

I have been a customer of this chemist (Pharmacist) in Hitchin, Herts., for many years. Recently, however, the quality of service has declined, with delivery of items on NHS Prescription requiring what they term " Friday to Friday" criteria. This means that any items to be delivered by the next Friday, must be ordered on the current Friday,or earlier.
I ordered an item for delivery on Thursday the 20th December 2018 and awaited all day for the medicine to be delivered on the following Friday (28th December) On contacting Bells by telephone, to enquire why a delivery had not been made, a female with a very abrupt attitude, informed me that deliveries over this festive period would not occur and it would be a further week before this would take place!. (i.e.15 days after first request) I was then informed I could collect the items if I was without my medication. (Apixaban and Furosomide for a heart condition) I am 81 years old widow and live on my own. I suffer from very poor mobility and this is why I had elected to have items delivered. This has now proved to be a problem that has exasperated the problem so I have elected to leave this previously very understanding and efficient pharmacy, but has now degenerated with at least one female member of staff abrupt and uncaring, with no understanding of the consequences of their actions. Over the Christmas and New Year period our delivery service does have to altered due to the surgeries being closed. I will be investigating what happened in your particular case. In future we will ensure all our patients are aware of any changes to the delivery service over holiday periods. Staff will be reminded to offer excellent customer service at all times and to always look at alternative options to ensure patients do not go without their medication.
