We've made it our mission to take the hassle out of prescriptions. To do this, we're changing how we work so that we can give you more choice in how you get your medicines.
Whether you're under the weather or on long-term medicines, managing and collecting your prescriptions can add unnecessary extra stress. In the UK, the pharmacy model hasn't really moved on in the last 70 years, and we're working to change that.
Our pharmacies
We're developing a new store model which focuses on the things that matter most to our customers and fundamentally changes how our pharmacy teams work. We've redesigned the dispensing process and introduced new stock monitoring measures so that you don't have to wait for your medicines, and we've freed up our pharmacists to spend more time helping our customers.
As part of this, we're also bringing new technology into our pharmacies. This includes 24/7 prescription pick-up machines – meaning you can collect your medicine any time, day or night – and a text notification service, so we can let you know when your prescription is ready to collect.

Appalling service, completely uncaring. You are told to phone chemist before going to doctors, this chemist refuses to answer the phone, when you go there they are rude. I took my prescription in one day there were 4 people working there all having a laugh. I then got told my urgent prescription would be ready on Tuesday (this was Friday afternoon). They are closed weekends and they need 48 hours to do the prescription. Went back for it on Tuesday it had not been done ??

Dropped my Prescription off. Said I'd call back next day. When I arrived the following day. My prescription wasn't ready. I'd assumed it would be ready. It wasn't. I waited 20 minutes for my prescription to be put up. I questioned this. I was told they were under pressure and that 48 hours notice was required. The manager was dismissive and rude. Also the medication I needed wasn't available. In total I went there 5 times. I'm still owed tablets. While I was there an elderly lady came in and they told her the pharmacist was going to lunch and she would have to wait 1 hour for him to come back. Appalling. They are short staffed and unsympathetic to the needs of their clients. I won't be using their services again

After eight attempts to contact by telephone and no answer, reluctantly the only option was to visit in person. After an initial wait of 20 minutes to be told no prescription, I telephoned the doctors surgery who confirmed it was collected three days ago. An additional 30 minute wait before I could be seen again and another ten minutes for it to be eventually found, no apology whatsoever for either the wait or error. I appreciate the current Covid situation may cause delays but this does not excuse inefficiency or common decency. A genuine ‘I am so sorry for…’ still carries weight even in these times. A mission statement of ‘take the hassle out of prescriptions’ is sadly untrue in this case.
