I have a close relative who has been a resident of Perry Trees for a few months now. I feel she is now safe, secure and getting the 24 hour care that she needed. I trust the staff implicitly, and am happy that she is being well looked after, in fact she is looking healthier than she has for a long time and is at last gaining the weight she needed to.
If there are any issues, the staff contact us straight away, and I feel they genuinely do care.
I appreciate the fact that she has a home here, and that we have been lucky in getting her placement there.
As a relative of a person with Alzheimers, we needed to ensure she was going to be looked after properly, and are grateful for the care she is receiving. Thank you to all staff for everything, you do an amazing job |

My uncle is resident in the above home suffering from dementia. We have just returned from a visit and have to say how impressed we are with the whole system. Since he became resident there last year it has been such a pleasure to see how well he is cared for. The staff are so caring and tuned into his special needs and totally aware of his little idiosyncrasies and gently guide and distract him when he becomes distressed in any way. The home is purpose built which is the ideal setting for anybody with dementia. Little sitting rooms scattered throughout the building is so conducive to a happy environment and residents wander freely in this bright loving environment. My uncle is very settled in the main, regardless of his little episodes of trying to escape. It is such a relief to see him safe and happy and well cared for. Our thanks go to the Manager who takes time to clarify any issues and keeps us well informed as to any incidents etc. Many thanks to all the staff who made our visit so pleasant and added to that was the special touch of being thanked for taking the time to travel from Scotland to visit as he has no family or relations in Birmingham, in my opinion this sums up the caring attitude of the staff who were genuinely happy to see uncle with visitors and people who cared. Renewed thanks to the manager and their team. Ann & Eric Corstorphine |
