The Millfield is a former private house which has been converted to provide personal care and accommodation for up to 34 people. It is situated close to the centre of Keswick. Accommodation is spread over three floors and includes private bedrooms, some of which have en-suite facilities. There are communal lounges, conservatory and dining areas as well as specially equipped communal bathrooms. Entrance ramps, stair lifts and a passenger lift help ensure people can access all areas of the home including the gardens.

Aug 17 2017 My experience was unfortunate and I obviously caught the Millfield on a day when they were understaffed. My husband was booked in for a day which lasted approximately 55 minutes. I was asked to bring him away as he was not 'fitting in'. He has Alzeimers' and hates being confined and therefore tried to get out via the fire exits. Have there not been other challenging clients? Is that nor what nursing dementia patients is all about? Have I got to wait until he is almost comatose before help is available?
