My sons and I had to find a care home to look after my husband Derek who sadly after fighting several cancers was in 'End of Life Care'
Chestnut Court - Willow, gave him the dignity he deserved and the care he needed. They ensured he was comfortable at all times and extended the caring attitude to myself and my family. Sadly Derek died on 8th February 2016 but the staff could not have done more for us all.
Thank you, thank you for your support and attention.

Excellent and compassionate care. (Dec 2013 - Jan 2015)
My mother was resident at Willow Ward for a period of just over a year. She suffered with advanced dementia, and had many physical / care needs, especially with the passage of time as her health deteriorated. During many regular visits I was always impressed with the level of personal care provided and the diligence shown by the medical / nursing staff. Residents were made to feel involved in what was going on, and the entertainment team work hard. A lot of effort goes into the preparation of well balanced meals, and the food is well cooked + plentiful. Staff take a lot of care to make sure each resident eats as much as they feel able, and afford them time to do so at their own pace. Their is very much a 'family feel' in Willow and relatives are always made welcome. Indeed, there were occasions when (due to moms failing health) I required emotional support, the staff were there for me too. When the time came for mom to pass over, I was again grateful for that support, and the respect shown to my mom. (CM) |
