Thorp House provides a safe and stimulated environment where 24 hour qualified staff as well as a highly skilled care staff are here to assist with all your requirements. Thorp House do not discriminate between clients and all prospective clients undergo a thorough pre-assessment to establish their needs and to ensure the home is the best place for you.
The house has a very warm and homely atmosphere with very energetic and enthusiastic staff. All meals are home cooked on the premesis. The kitchens can cater for all diets and are especially interested in nutrition and how to maintain a healthy life.
The enclosed gardens which people can use without fear of being interupted or being able to leave the grounds without assistance are set in a quadrangle in the middle of the home.

Apr 29 2013 My husband has been to Thorp House for respite care. He was taken in, in an emergency and the staff were very helpful. We didn't know what to do they made it really easy for us and my husband was happy and content after an initial settling in period. He always looked clean and tidy and was allowed to go around the home but he was monitored everywhere he went so he didn't get into any problems. We will definitely think again about allowing him to be looked after if we need time to recooperate, but on another note it has given us an insight into long term care possibilty that we have dismissed up until now.
