Holmlea is a substantial, late Victorian terraced residence which has been tastefully extended and refurbished to an extremely high standard.& We are situated in a prestigious residential area between North Shields and Tynemouth close to many local amenities and are well served by public transport.
& Holmlea is part of a small family run business providing quality care, dignity and support to older people for over 25 years.& The senior management are actively involved in the day to day running of the Care Home to ensure our commitment to quality care in a homely environment is maintained.
Holmlea& Care Home is registered with the CQC to provide& accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care for 25 people. Nursing care is not provided here.

Mar 19 2017 My mam has Alzheimer's and has lived at Holmlea for the past 4 years. Finding a good care home for a parent is one of the hardest things a family has to do, I visited 8 care homes in the area and Holmlea was, by miles, the most welcoming, caring and happy home that I looked at. The home in terms of environment is a little dated compared to the numerous newly build establishments on offer, however that wasn't a priority of mine. The care delivery is the key that sets Holmlea apart. The safety, dignity and standards of care is outstanding, delivered with genuine care by staff who treat residents with patience, love and gentleness. The staff turnover is very limited as staff genuinely enjoy working here! Care planning is stringent and reviewed continuously as needs change. I prepared a This is Me book for staff with details of Mams likes, dislikes, favourite foods, activities, music etc which helps staff meet specific personal needs and wishes. I live in Hampshire so when I visit, I spend hours and hours there, always welcomed by staff, who always seem to be smiling or laughing. There is a real homely feeling about Holmlea which I love and I trust staff implicitly with every aspect of my Mams care, and of all the residents living there. They are all an absolute credit to their profession. I would without any reservation highly recommend Holmlea
