Autumn House Residential Home

On the face of it, the premises, facilities, activities, and quality of care are generally quite good, as you would expect for such high fees. The staff carers are conscientious, well-motivated, and seem to be adequately trained. Previous problems such as the badly run in-house laundry and the poor issue of medicines are being addressed. However, my family and I have a number of very serious concerns about the management of this home. There have been incidences of petty theft at Autumn House but management seem reluctant to implement measures to avoid future cases, despite suggestions from the Police such as creating an itemised list of belongings for each resident. Complaints are just ignored, not officially recorded, or else not followed up. Nothing is ever acknowledged in writing. Until an experienced and professional management team is brought in to audit procedures and resolve these continuing problems, best to go elsewhere.
