Clare House Care Home

Formerly Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, this unique, well equipped home is situated in a peaceful residential area of Uxbridge, west of London.

The care we offer Clare House provides nursing care, respite, convalescence and palliative care, as well as specialist care for older people with physical disabilities. We also care for people with Parkinsons disease and those who have suffered a stroke. Our staff are dedicated and highly trained to provide extensive, personal support based on the resident&s individual care plan.

Food Our chef provides a range of varied meals based on the individual requirements of our residents, ensuring all dishes are nutritionally balanced. There are always plenty of options available including cold alternatives to cooked meals and lighter options and snacks.

Residents can choose to eat their meals in the dining room overlooking the patio or in their bedroom if they prefer. As well as our everyday menus, we make sure that on their birthday each resident receives a special meal of their choice and a personalised birthday cake.

Activities The home has a separate activities room and there is always something enjoyable and stimulating to do, such as light gardening, weekly movement to music classes, painting and quizzes. Local entertainers, a mobile library and hairdresser visit the home regularly.

Outings include bowling, boat trips or visits to nearby Hampton Court Palace. Our dedicated activity co-ordinator ensures that all residents, whatever their mobility, can take part in regular monthly themed events. There are also special occasions and celebrations that take place throughout the year - visitors and guests are always welcome to join the fun!
