I had a number of bad experiences when I was younger to include the dentist shouting at me saying you should feel no pain its not hurting you !!!!!! It did hurt very much !!!!!! For many years I avoided the dentist at all costs , recently I had two appointments with Axminster Dental practice and my Dentist is absolutely brilliant , she is so calming and understanding and explains options very clearly and I now do not dread visiting the dentist.very very pleased and a big thank you ! |

Since i joined this practice I have had a different newly qualified dentist still requiring mentoring each year. Last week I asked would I ever have a DENTIST who i would see on a continuous basis the answer was no the only nhs dentist was full. Ok everybody has to learn but this is not an NHS practice it is a private concern using "TRAINEES ". The ambiance and most staff are very pleasant BUT think about it! |

I rang the practice as I had an emergency and they were able to fit me in that day. This was after trying several others who didn't want to know.
I have had a dreadful fear of dentists all my life and as such it's fair to say that I was not looking forward to the appointment.
From the moment I walked through the door to the time that I left I felt extremely comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the dentist was excellent in every way. He talked me through every detail and made me feel very relaxed. I have 2 further appointments and even though I am not exactly looking forward to them I now feel much, much better and the complete fear that I had has now disappeared.
If like me you have/had a fear of the dentist chair I would highly recommend Axminster Dental Practice. |
