After going from one NHS dentist to another, where I felt like just another number passing through the door, no options, no patient care and no warmth, I stopped going to my routine appointments. I started to have issues with my teeth and my mum advised me to go to her dentist, as she was a lovely, thorough and kind dentist who thought a lot about what was best to save a tooth, rather than lets rip it out and be done. I booked in, full of shame at the state that my mouth was in, cavity city!! I was put at ease and a full plan was made of what she was going to do to give me some confidence in my smile again, get me over my loathing of a dentist visit and a plan to keep my teeth in my mouth, not just ripping them out. So its a private clinic, with this its obviously going to cost more than NHS, but for what this lady has done for me so far, after only 2 visits I can not thank her enough, It is definitely worth every single penny spent so far to have the confidence to be able to smile and communicate with my family, friends and colleagues every day. The big silver blobs that were rammed in, the bits of old fillings left after extraction by other 'dentists' now being addressed and me not looking like that villain from the James Bond movies is enough to make me actually excited about going back for my next appointment!! This is unheard of!! The team of staff are brilliant, down to earth and it feels like a warm place, so much so you forget about the big shiny needle that is coming towards your mouth to make your lips and mouth feel like jelly for the rest of the night. If my mum was my dentist, I think she would be like this lady, and I think that is what is most appealing about going. I would 100% recommend treatment here to anyone, especially needle and dentistphobics, as I was just a couple of months ago.
