Having been searching for an NHS dentist for a while, I was incorrectly told by the person on reception that having finished with some emergency work to deal with a filling, I would be transferred to their NHS Dental Patient list. Initially I was really happy to hear this but then on another visit, I was told that their receptionist was new and did not understand that they could not take me on as a new NHS patient. The dentist I saw was very good but I am very disappointed with the management of this practice. They tell you things then go back on it leaving you disappointed. To me they seem to want to cherry pick and only do private work at higher cost while neglecting NHS patients. The building, a converted house, looked rundown and very shabby. The noticeboard had obsolete information on display. The dentist put dental products in my teeth and would not permit me to record what was used. If at a later date there is a product recall or problem with the filling material, I have no record of what was used. I would recommend you try elsewhere.
