I initially made my appointment with My Dentist in Alresford in January 2019, there was a few month wait so I took the nearest appointment (April 2019) a few days before this appointment I received a letter canceling my appointment, I called, as advised in the letter and rescheduled for the next available appointment....end of June! And guess what it happened again, on the morning of my appointment I received a letter in the post cancelling my appointment again. I called at 9:15am and was told they didn’t know the reason why and someone would call me back, still no phone call by 3:00 so called again, still didn’t know why it’s cancelled, apparently from April 2019 they no longer were taking on NHS patients I reminded them this has been initially booked since January 2019 and this is the 2nd time it’s been cancelled. They advised me I could go private with them on a my dentist plan! No thanks! Not after this. |

I visited the dentist in February and had three teeth removed was advised to leave it to settle before having impressions for dentures. My appointment was made for May. I then received a letter cancelling the appointment due to the dentist leaving. When I phoned I was told they could not yet give me an appointment and to phone back in a months time. I told them I thought this was unacceptable and could I be seen by another dentist only to be told it would be in August. I then told them that I thought it was unprofessional to expect me to be without dentures for about eight months and that measures should have been put in place for existing patients. The reply to this was there is a dentist in Alton taking on new patients. I do not think they acted in a professional manner and have since changed to another practice and I am now receiving the treatment I so rightly deserve. |

Having had the same dentist in Winchester for almost 20 years, I moved to Alresford a couple of years ago and registered with MyDentist. Big mistake. High level of staff turnover. I think we've had 3 or 4 different dentists in the few years we've been coming here. They now don't even have an NHS dentist at all. Plus a whole catalogue of errors, a messed up orthodontist referral, which had to be repeated, an incorrect bill, incorrect paperwork. It's not good. I would hope that their private patients receive a lot better treatment than NHS do. We'll be returning to our old practice in Winchester... |
