When I was young, I came for an emergency appointment as half of my front tooth fell out due to an injury. They replaced the bottom half with filling and said this would probably last no longer than a year and would have to be replaced (fair enough). After around a year, no surprise, it came out. The process repeated, this time staying attached for about 10 years (still what I have in now). In this time, I noticed this tooth has been much darker than the rest and sticks out to a large extent, making me feel extremely self-conscious and uncomfortable.
So, I went to have a check up and was told I needed 4 fillings in the back before they could do anything with my front tooth, so I had this done in January 2017 and we discussed different options for my tooth (crown, bridge, denture etc). They said they couldn't make another appointment with me until 11 months after! So, in December, I went back assuming they would at least make progress. It was, of course, just a check up and they didn't ask to see me again to have any work done which infuriated me.
Anyway, I called back a few months later and asked if I could make an appointment to have something done with my tooth. I made an appointment for October 2018, which unsurprisingly was cancelled, the day before. I have not been back since and only have 3 months of full-time education left so have no choice but to wait another few years until I can afford to pay for what they couldn't do. My money will gladly go to another dental practice. |
