My visit to the Dental Hygienist and Therapist was outstanding. She was very professional and courteous, giving advice and demonstrating best practice throughout. I came away with what felt like a new set of gnashers! |

Thank you for being so patient with me as I am a nervous visitor. Had an implant under private and I’m also nhs patient. All good. Only downside is that it can take a while to get through to someone to book appointments |

Myself and my wife recently moved to the area and registered with this practice. Around one month after registering my wife experienced a tooth problem that required urgent dental attention. She called the practice to book an appointment but was told there was a 6 week wait for all appointments, urgent or not.
Shocked by this news I called the practice and was given the same message. I commented that I thought it was unrealistic to expect someone in pain to wait 6 weeks for relief. I was then informed the practice has over 20,000 registered patients so what did I expect and that perhaps if we visited the dentist more regularly then an urgent appointment wouldn’t be necessary! With the news that this practice was clearly oversubscribed and somewhat undernourished I asked what our options were and was told to visit the local hospital and tell them I don't have a dentist or else to try to find another dentist (but not that I would in this area). Feeling deliberately slighted at this point and with no real option I conceded that we would look for another dentist. Our miserable experience of this practice was then compounded when I was told this was indeed ‘perfect’. 2 down, 19,998 patients to go.. |
